Rob Bisseling visited the Joint Laboratory for 3 months in summer 2010

In the framework of the FP7 ITN project Myplanet, Rob Bisseling visited the INRIA-CERFACS Joint Laboratory for 3 months (May-July 2010).

Rob is a full professor in Scientific Computing in the Mathematics department of Utrecht University and a world-wise recognized researcher in the field parallel scientific computing, sparse matrix computation, combinatorial science computing.

During his visit, Rob had fruitful exchanges with both INRIA and CERFACS researchers on the use of advanced graph partitioning tools in the design of parallel hierarchical hybrid linear solvers and in the partitioning of huge unstructured meshes for parallel scalable combustion simulations.
